What this mama wants this Valentines Day! (It’s probably not what you think…)

I have to admit, I’ve never really been a fan of Valentine’s Day.

Yes the gifts and fancy dinners are nice, but I feel like you should show your other half love on a daily basis. Not just pour it on thick once a year!

I’ve been married for 8 years this June and my idea of romance has definitely changed!

So when Mike asked “What do you want for Valentine’s Day? ”

I can definitely think of a few things!

  • Put the toilet paper roll on the actual holder and not just on the counter.
  • While I’m definitely impressed by your amazing dish balancing skills in the sink, how about loading the dishwasher?
  • Don’t run away to do “something” when you notice Emilia red faced grunting in the corner. How about you take care of this “special” package.
  • Take over home work duty (I I I I I i i i i i im losing my mind…)
  • Pick up the laundry off the floor and kindly place it in the basket 2 inches beside it.
  • Please refrain from rolling your eyes when I want to watch 2 hours of COPS . I like it and if that’s wrong I don’t want to be right!
  • Complement my car karaoke. I know it might not be great, but Frankie says I’m a good singer!
  • Buy me something from Victoria’s Secret (you know what I like… those two piece button up flannel pjs… Rawr!)
  • Commend my amazing achievements in fitted bedsheet folding! (Thanks Pinterest!)
  • Speaking of Pinterest, look at everything I show you when I’m browsing and enthusiastically agree with me when I say I’m going to do that project next! (I won’t….. Well I might…no, no I won’t..)

If you do these things I’m guaranteed to have a fantastic day full of love!

(I’ll also take that chocolate you were planning on buying, I love chocolate!)

Happy Valentines Day!

Wishing you lots of love on that day and everyday that follows!

xo, Fran

Your Valentine’s Day wish list made me smile! Sometimes it’s those little everyday things that can really make a difference. I hope this Valentine’s Day you get those Victoria’s Secret PJs, you walk into the bathroom and the paper is on the holder, and when you glance into the kitchen sink it’s beautifully empty. Have a fabulous Happy Hearts Day! 🙂

  3. Your Valentine day’s wish list is so funny….I think things and life priorities really changed when children comes along… You are so right that every day can be a Valentine day to shower love and not just on that one day!

  4. Yes! So much yes!!

Minus the cops, because Nick loves that show so much now if I hear it playing in the distance I cringe hahaha

  7. This was awesome! Thanks for making me giggle because I totally would enjoy some of things on your list too. I am not a big fan of Valentine’s Day either so its nice to know there are others out there that feel the same as I do.

  8. I still love gifts (my love language) but I also LOVE that you ask him to show you love in every day ways!

  9. This list makes me smile…not the typical list…! I agree …romance can wear off and then it’d down to the nitty gritty of life! I hope some of your wishes come true!!
