Perfect Peppermint Icing

Peppermint icing
So the countdown to the holidays is definitely on!

In only a few days it will be Christmas!

With all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, you probably don’t have time to spend hours in the kitchen making homemade treats from scratch. This icing will add a special homemade touch to any boxed cake mix!

With only a few ingredients its super simple and can be made in minutes!

  • 4 Cups powdered sugar
  • 1 Cup butter (softened)
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 1 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
  1. In a mixer add your butter and sugar, mix on low until the butter and sugar are well incorporated.
  2. Add your milk and once fully incorporated check consistency. It may seem a little dry, if so add another tablespoon of milk.
  3. Add peppermint extract and mix until well combined.
  4. Make sure to taste your icing, if too thick add more milk a tsp at a time.

Top with crushed candy canes or sprinkles for an extra festive touch!

The perfect addition to you cakes, cupcakes and cookies and no one will know it only too 5 minutes to make!

Enjoy,

Frankie
