Healthy snacking with Three Farmers + Fresh herb salad dressing

As a parent, finding snacks for the kids that are healthy but still taste awesome, can be a huge challenge!

So when I tried out Three Farmers delicious snacks and oils I was seriously impressed!

The company began when a trio of neighbouring Saskatchewan farmers came together with one collective goal! To grow and distribute sustainable, traceable, high quality pulse products.

These products are all grown and made in Canada. Every product has its own code, which allows it to be traced back to it’s source!

They’re nut free, so they’re perfectly safe for school snacks.

Their roasted chickpeas pack a serious crunch and are loaded with flavour! Plus they have huge health benefits!

They’re like nothing I’ve tried before. These roasted, never fried green peas are addicting! I dare you not to finish off a whole bag!

Their cold pressed Camelina oil

Has a light nutty, earthy tone. It’s perfect in salads, dips, dressings and marinades. It’s also great when using it in a stir fry, sautéing and roasting your favourite foods!

It’s literally, your omega-3 supplement, cooking and salad oil all wrapped into one!

It’s free of toxins, and also a source of vitamin E .

I was inspired by the Three farmers story and decided to put a rustic spin on a classic mixed greens salad. Using their cold pressed camelina oil, along with some other fresh ingredients to create a refreshing light herb dressing. Which is perfect for any summer salad! Topped with some balsamic and cracked pepper roasted chickpeas for that added crunch and flavour burst! It’s a match made in heaven!

Try it out and see for yourself!

  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp chopped chives
  • 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp Camelina oil
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients into a food processor, and blend until we’ll combined.
