3 Ingredient Pear Oatmeal Crisp

Instant oatmeal pear crisp

So it happened, we fell into the Costco trap!

We saw a huge value pack of instant oatmeal, the kids said they would definitely eat it…. famous last words!

A week later and after only eating 4 packs out of 65, I’m left with an oatmeal stockpile!

I came up with this recipe, mainly because so help me they WILL eat that oatmeal for breakfast lol!

With only 3 ingredients, this pear crisp is a healthy breakfast the kids loved! Or it could even be used as a dessert! (Anyone have any vanilla ice cream to top it off!

The pears can be substituted for apples or even peaches! (We’ll definitely be doing peaches ASAP!) I used the maple and brown sugar flavored oatmeal, but you can sub in your fave.

  • 3 pouches your fave instant oatmeal. (I used maple and brown sugar)
  • 2 Cups pears, peeled and chopped (approx 2 large)
  • 4 Tbsp softened butter
  • 3 single serving ceramic ramekins to bake in.

Pre heat oven to 375

  1. In a small bowl mix together your butter and TWO pouches of oatmeal. (Using a fork or your hands) until formed into a crumble
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together your pears and the remaining pouch of oatmeal, until well coated.
  3. Distribute your pears into your ramekins equally. Then top with your crumble mixture.
  4. Bake for 20 mins until topping is golden brown. Serve warm!
