Finding Fresh Flavors with Lilydale frozen Turkey breast strips

I don’t know about you, but I’m more than ready for this winter weather to be over, and for warmer temperatures!

I’m craving fresh flavours, and my favorite classic foods that remind me of summer!

What says warm weather deliciousness, more than the classic caprese salad? I’ve decided, I needed more of that in my life, with a little twist of course!

I created this Caprese Flat Bread using all the classic ingredients of the traditional salad and I added Lilydale® frozen Turkey Breast Strips to make it a complete lunch for our family!

Lilydale Turkey Breast Strips, are simple to prepare and can be served alone or added into many different recipes! Pastas, wraps, salads! The possibilities are seriously endless!

The unbreaded Lilydale® Turkey Breast Strips are hand cut from whole Canadian turkey breasts. With no artificial colours or flavours, so I can feel good about serving them to my family.

1 large flat bread

1 Tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp olive oil

1 Box of Lilydale® frozen Turkey Breast Strips. (cooked according to package instructions)

1 Roma tomato, thinly sliced

6-7 fresh basil leaves

2 large bocconcini cheese balls sliced

Balsamic glaze for drizzling (optional)

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees 

Place your flatbread on a baking sheet. Mix together your olive oil and garlic powder in a small bowl. Brush onto your flatbread coating evenly.

Place your tomatoes, bocconcini and cooked Lilydale® Turkey Breast Strips .Place in oven for 10- 15 minutes until Cheese is melted.

Remove from oven, top with basil and then drizzle with balsamic glaze.

Serve warm
